Here at Animal Training & Development we know how important basic adult training is for both you and your dog. Puppies can learn what words like sit, down, and come mean. But they lack the attention span to learn how to do these things in the “real world.” Treats will not always be such a powerful motivator as they are when dogs are pups. Soon things like cats, cars, bikes, kids and other dogs will compete for your attention. This class will give you the foundation for a well trained dog. You will become a pack leader and your dog will respect and love you more than ever as the two of you communicate in ways each can understand. Our six week adult program is for dogs over 5 months of age. This class meets once a week for about an hour. The first session is for humans and not dogs. We will explain and demonstrate the pack leader concept. You will see a professionally trained dog work through a number of challenging situations and distractions. You will be inspired to begin the journey with your own dog and we will show you the "art of dog training"! We also discuss problem behaviors and livablility issues. Problems such as; house training, barking, chewing, jumping, digging, and more. Please plan on spending at least twenty minutes each day on "homework" to gain the benifits this time proven class offers!
